When Everything Takes a Miracle

Yesterday, I spent more than 45 minutes trying to log into one of my accounts. Have you ever been there? Two-step authentication suddenly turns into a 24-step proof of our existence on planet Earth just to check an email. It was so frustrating.

Logging into an account should be trivial, but some days everything feels uphill—challenges and obstacles waiting around every turn. Right now, we’re preparing for a trip back to the USA. Between the endless logistics, changing plans, and unexpected hurdles, I recently found myself asking: Why does every little thing feel like it demands a miracle?

Right in that moment, I felt God’s whisper: I want you to need me. I want you to trust me. I want you to wait on me. I want to work miracles for you.

It brought me right back to Isaiah 40:31:

“…but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

One of my lifelong heroes, Wendy Stapleton, once wrote this note in the margin of my Bible:

“Faith—Eagles are not ‘flock’ birds, but rather courageously soar to the highest of heights. When fear, doubt, or sorrow assails me, I reflect on this verse, picturing the breath of the Lord God lifting me to soar with Him! Keep soaring, Faith! Love, Mrs. Coach”

What an incredible reminder.

As we pack our bags and navigate the everyday friction, I’m learning to stop fighting the wind and start leaning into the lift. When life demands a miracle—big or small—it isn’t a sign that God has distance between us; it’s an invitation to let His Spirit carry us. Whatever obstacle you are facing today, don’t try to power through it in your own strength. Wait on Him, surrender the frustration, and let the wind of His presence lift you above the noise.
